How the 4couple website uses cookies and similar technologies

1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how WUMI sp. z o.o. (“we”, “us”, “4couple”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at 4couple.ai (the “Website”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
The 4couple mobile app does not use cookies. It uses only the local storage and identifiers needed to keep you signed in and make the app work, as described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device identifiers. They can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by a service we use), and “session” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” (kept until they expire or you delete them).
3. The cookies we use
We keep this deliberately short. We use three categories. One choice in our cookie banner covers both analytics and advertising: “Accept all” turns both on, and “Reject all” leaves both off.

What runs before you choose, and if you reject
We want to be precise about this rather than claim more than we do. Until you make a choice, and if you reject, our analytics provider runs in cookieless mode: it records anonymous page views, the steps taken through our quiz and checkout, and errors the pages run into, and does not write any identifier to your device, so nothing follows you between visits and none of it is linked to you. The Meta Pixel is not loaded, and we send nothing to Meta, with one exception that uses no cookie: if you buy something, our server tells Meta about the purchase (section 11 of our Privacy Policy). Only when you press “Accept all” do the analytics and advertising cookies described above get written. Your choice itself is remembered in the strictly necessary storage above.
Session recordings
If you accept, our analytics provider also records your visits: how the pages looked, where you scrolled, clicked and tapped, and how long you stayed, so we can see where the Website is confusing or broken. Recording starts only after you press “Accept all” and stops as soon as you reject or withdraw your choice. Nothing is recorded before you choose. We may record only some visits.
The recordings do not contain what you type: every text field is masked. In our quiz and on your membership page all text is masked as well, so a recording shows the layout and your taps but not your quiz answers, your email address or your card details. Payment forms are provided by our payment provider and are not recorded. Recordings are kept by our analytics provider for up to 30 days.
Meta's automatic collection of button clicks and page details is switched off, and we never send Meta your quiz answers.
4. Your choices
When you first visit the Website we show a banner that lets you accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are offered as equal choices. Nothing other than strictly necessary cookies and storage is written to your device until you accept.
You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of our home page and other main pages: it clears the analytics storage, pauses the Meta Pixel and brings the banner back, so withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving. Meta's _fbp and _fbc cookies stay in your browser until they expire or you delete them, but the Website sends Meta nothing new, other than a purchase, which is sent without them (section 11 of our Privacy Policy). You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking new ones. Blocking strictly necessary cookies and storage may stop parts of the Website, such as the quiz and payments, from working.
5. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies and storage are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website and, for the quiz and payments, to provide the service you ask for. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only with your consent, as required by the EU ePrivacy rules as implemented in Poland and by the GDPR, and by applicable US state laws. For US residents: we do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies let Meta receive information about your visit, which US state privacy laws treat as “sharing” for targeted advertising. It happens only if you click “Accept all”, and you can opt out at any time by rejecting in the banner (section 17 of our Privacy Policy). A purchase is reported to Meta without cookies, whatever you chose; section 11 of our Privacy Policy explains it.
6. Changes and contact
